The weekend night market in Krabi Old Town reopened with a larger layout and a wider mix of local traders, giving the popular event a more lively and welcoming feel. Streets around the market square were lined with food carts offering grilled squid, mango sticky rice, spicy noodles, and herbal drinks, while local makers displayed jewellery, woven bags, and carved wooden decorations. A small stage near the centre of the market hosted student bands, folk singers, and a traditional drum group, drawing steady crowds throughout the evening.
Traders said the expansion gave smaller businesses a better chance to reach both residents and tourists, especially during the high season. Visitors praised the market for keeping a strong local identity while adding more space to walk, eat, and enjoy the performances. Town officials hinted that the larger format may now become a regular part of the monthly programme.
